    MILITARY COMMUNIQUÉ
    Ogaden National Liberation Front (ONLF)

    28 December 2007

The Tigray Peoples Liberation Front (TPLF) regimes claims that it has captured Ogaden National Liberation Front (ONLF) forces in a military engagement in the Danot area is wishful thinking.

ONLF forces are largely intact, operational and continue to be effective. The ONLF now has the capability to strike TPLF regime forces at will throughout Ogaden including major military facilities.

If the TPLF Regime has inflicted significant losses on our forces, it has no reason to continue to deny international journalists access to Ogaden to verify their claims. The fact that they continue to deny access to major media outlets is indicative of their failed military strategy in Ogaden.
